What We Help

Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common type of arthritis, a "wear-and-tear" joint disease where the protective cartilage cushioning your bones breaks down, causing bones to rub together, leading to pain, stiffness, swelling, and reduced movement, typically in hands, hips, knees, and spine.

Sports Injuries

A sports injury is damage to muscles, bones, or soft tissues from athletic activity, categorized as sudden (acute, like sprains from falls) or overuse (chronic, like tendinitis from repetitive strain).

Degenerative Disc Disease

Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) isn't a disease but a natural aging process where spinal discs lose water, dry out, and shrink, reducing their shock-absorbing ability, leading to potential pain, stiffness, and nerve issues like radiating pain, numbness, or weakness.

Herniated Disc

A herniated disc (or slipped/ruptured disc) happens when the soft, jelly-like center of a spinal disc pushes out through a tear in its tougher outer layer, similar to a jelly doughnut's filling squeezing out.

Labrum Tear

A shoulder labral tear is damage to the labrum, a cartilage rim deepening the shoulder socket for stability, often caused by injury or overuse, leading to pain, clicking/popping, instability, and weakness, with common types including SLAP tears at the top.

Meniscus Tear

A meniscus tear is damage to the C-shaped cartilage that cushions your knee joint, often caused by twisting, pivoting, or squatting, leading to pain, swelling, stiffness, and sometimes a catching or locking sensation as a piece of cartilage moves out of place, disrupting the knee's smooth function.

Rotator Cuff Injuries

A rotator cuff tear is damage to the group of muscles and tendons stabilizing your shoulder, causing pain, weakness, and limited movement, often when lifting or rotating the arm.

Joint Pain

Joint pain is discomfort in a joint, often from inflammation, injury (sprains, strains), or wear-and-tear conditions like osteoarthritis, and can feel achy, stiff, or throbbing, sometimes with swelling or warmth, and is managed with rest, meds, or physical therapy, though persistent or severe pain needs medical attention.

Nagging Pain

Nagging pain is a persistent, often dull ache that lingers for days or longer, frequently caused by overuse, repetitive stress, or an old injury flaring up, leading to inflammation or underlying issues in muscles, tendons, or joints that interfere with daily life, requiring attention to prevent worsening.

TESTIMONIALS

Holistic Approach

"Kim was able to identify my hip problem(which was caused by how I was holding my 3 year old ๐Ÿ˜…) and provided me EXCELLENT stretches to do in between visits. Sheโ€™s also super kind:)"

broken image... Individual Plan

"Kim is absolutely amazing and so informative. I came in barely able to walk or stand straight up and now I am pain free!!"

High Level Athlete

Dr. Kim is incredible! As a competitive powerlifter, itโ€™s difficult to find therapist that work well with certain injuries. She developed a treatment plan that worked great with my training. 100% coming back!

Caring and Knowledgeable

We've had a LOT of home health agencies who sent nurses and therapists over the years. Some have been good but they're in and out in a hurry. Dr. Kim Garcia doesn't act like she's in a rush to get to the next person, which is so important for elderly patients. In addition, she also has a lot of knowledge and experience in elder care and is kind to my mother, who has not liked every therapist. It's so great to see my mother actually look forward to seeing her therapist and even better to see her regaining her strength and some independence. Despite her own vast knowledge, Dr. Kim isn't haughty; she shows respect for the knowledge I have.
